Good Afternoon Bulls!
Today was an eventful day at OCEP! Erin and I took a trip over to the Botanical Gardens because we are both interested in sustainable gardening and food insecurities on campus. Like I’ve said before, we are both Social Work students so we are interested in promoting an initiative that can reach out to hungry students on campus.
With that being said, Erin and I decided to take a trip over to the Botanical Gardens. USF’s Botanical Gardens is a great spot for students and the public to enjoy nature as well as have your own student/organization plot. It is an all organic garden, and plots are available to any student or organization that is interested.
We also checked out the Job Fair at the MSC ballroom today. It was great to see not only USF represented there, but also local businesses in the community that are interested in employing USF students.
And if you didn’t know, there was a Farmer’s Market on campus today, too! It was really cool! Lot’s of local farmers and small business owner’s promoting their products and fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, flowers and other amazing items. They will be there every Thursday until November 2nd.
Erin and I are looking forward to indulging more of our time into food insecurities on campus, so be on the lookout for more information in weeks to come.
Enjoy your weekend, Bulls!
